Enjoy the Outdoors, from the Inside, with a Cozy 3-Season Room
3-season rooms are a wonderful addition to any home. Made for use in spring, summer, and fall, they allow for the enjoyment of nature and natural light without having to deal with bugs, debris, direct sunlight or wet weather.
Made with single-pane glass windows, a 3-season room provides more use and flexibility than a screen porch — allowing for a longer timeframe of use, as well as the ability to decorate the room with whatever type of furniture, decor and flooring you’d like, as opposed to a screen porch that needs more robust, weather-resistant furnishings.
One of the questions we get asked a lot is if a 3-season room can be utilized during the winter. In short, the answer is yes — although only occasionally with the use of an HVAC unit. If you think you would prefer use of a new room addition year round, a 4-season room or 4-season sunroom may be a better fit. That said, a 3-season room can be upgraded to a four-season room.
3-season rooms are incredibly strong, built to last, and can be constructed in a variety of styles and materials to match the rest of your home — or create something a little different, if you prefer. They’re also made with single-pane glass, non-insulated floors, and non-thermally engineered frames, which is why they are not suitable for winter use.
Regarding cost, a 3-season room can often be less expensive because it is made of lighter frames and single-pane glass. That said, depending on the materials you choose for flooring, walls, and roofing, the cost can vary greatly.
